Daoism is a religion originated in China. It was established in the Eastern Han Dynasty; but its origin was from much earlier. The earliest source of Daoism was the primitive religion and witchcraft. In primitive societies, people could not understand the natural phenomena, and they believed the spirits and deities had a dominant role over their lives.

To those people who are in constant pain and defilement, Buddhist doctrines are quite attractive. That the world is impermanent and life is transient represents the basic view of Buddhism on the world and is the starting point of Buddhist thoughts.
